While knowledge is an impending requirement,
awareness is the need of the hour. Prevention is
better than cure and to make this a reality AIF
has embarked upon a mission to empower the
Corporate woman.
Empowerment has to be awarded in a holistic manner, so we believe. A 12 month long intervention has been planned with the Corporates in Chennai. We plan to begin with a general health screening followed by a talk on Cancer Awareness related to the woman. A screening for cervix and breast related cancer would also be conducted. The participants would have the opportunity to clear their doubts on this issue.
A follow up on the health of each of the woman participants will be carried out in the months to come. Appropriate advise on the necessary steps to better their general well being would be suggested. A Privilege card is to be awarded for all who have undergone this program. This card would entitle them with adequate provision to help their entire family.
The Programs planned for the first few months would be :

4. Prevention and management of Diabetes
5. Blood Pressure and the heart
6. Rights of a woman in a Metro
7. Dealing with molestation /sexual harassment at work, home and socially
8. A mother, wife, employee, friend and family : How can one be successful?-Work life balance
9. Self Defense and its basic techniques to prevent and protect oneself
10. Inspirational, self motivated women of substance share their experiences
